Our programs are available on line to register and make your initial deposit. We strongly prefer that you register online using our online system. If you cannot register through the on-line system please send an email to email@example.com and we can mail (or email) you the forms for you to complete and return by mail. We process applications for residential retreats in order by date received. Registration opening date is listed in the retreat description on the website. Your balance is due four weeks prior to the start of your retreat. If your balance is not paid, your space may be offered to someone on the waiting list.
DANA: In keeping with the Buddhist tradition, the teachers and retreat managers receive no payment. The above cost covers room and board only. Donations offered by students at the end of the retreat are appreciated and support the teachers and retreat managers in continuing to make the teachings available to all. Dana offerings are tax-deductible.
Starting in 2019 we will be charging a separate teacher and staff fee and eliminating Dana offerings.
Once your registration has been processed, you will receive a retreat confirmation by email with information specific to your retreat. Please read all the information carefully.
IMPORTANT: Your space is not confirmed until you receive an email stating that you are confirmed in the retreat. If you do not get an email within 10 business days, please call (805)694-8432 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. If the retreat is full by the time we receive your application, you will be contacted and given the opportunity to be on the waiting list.
Cancellations and Refunds Your deposit is non-refundable. Cancellation fees are noted on the registration form, and confirmation letter for each retreat. If you must cancel within 10 days before the start of the retreat, we will refund all but the deposit if we can fill your space. As of 12:00 pm on the last business day before opening day, there are no refunds. Deposits and payments cannot be transferred to another retreat or another person.
If you are coming as a couple or with a good friend, we ask that you agree to give each other the gift of a fully silent, solitary retreat. This means agreeing not to write notes to one another, not to walk together (even in silence), not to sit near each other in the hall or dining area, not to speak to each other or even have eye contact with each other. At first this may feel unusual or challenging, but this will benefit your retreat and the retreat for others.
During our residential retreats we can not allow commuters or guests who cannot stay the entire time. Our retreats a very intimate due to the small size. Breaking the container of safety can be very disturbing to other participants.
Your TAX-DEDUCTABLE donation will HELP support US TO PROVIDE refuge, compassion, training programs and retreats.
